As a Robotics Engineer at United Algorithmics, you will develop robotic systems that integrate AI-driven perception, planning, and control. You will work across the full stack — from sensors and actuators to the software that makes autonomous behaviour possible — inside a lab environment that funds ambitious, long-range engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robotic systems across perception, planning, motion control, and actuation layers
- Integrate learned models (vision, language, policy networks) into real-time robot pipelines
- Build simulation environments for training and evaluation before physical deployment
- Conduct hands-on hardware experimentation, iteration, and debugging
- Collaborate with AI research scientists to operationalise new techniques on physical platforms
Requirements
- Strong background in robotics engineering, mechatronics, or a closely related discipline
- Proficiency with ROS/ROS2 and experience deploying systems on real hardware
- Experience with robot perception (computer vision, depth sensing, SLAM) and motion planning
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning or imitation learning for robot control is a plus
- Comfort working across both software and hardware in a research-oriented environment
