As an AI Research Scientist at United Algorithmics, you will work inside our Research and Innovation Lab on fundamental and applied AI problems — from new model architectures and learning algorithms to reasoning, planning, and multimodal systems.
The lab operates with significant researcher autonomy. You will define your own research agenda, publish externally, and collaborate across disciplines — with a direct path to seeing your work deployed inside Unialg's commercial and venture portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute original research programs in areas such as foundation models, reinforcement learning, reasoning, or agent systems
- Publish findings at top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.) and contribute to the broader research community
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate research into production systems
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to a high-quality research culture
- Identify open problems at the intersection of research and Unialg's commercial priorities
Requirements
- PhD in machine learning, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent research experience
- Strong publication record at leading ML or AI venues
- Deep proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, JAX)
- Ability to take a research idea from conception through experimentation to a written result
- Intellectual range — comfortable engaging with problems across subfields
